Celebrating San Pietro’s win at the Destination Lincolnshire Tourism Excellence Awards 2024-25!
The Destination Lincolnshire Tourism Excellence Awards 2024-25, held at the Lincolnshire Showground, brought together over 280 representatives from across Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland’s thriving visitor economy. The evening was a celebration of dedication, resilience, and passion within the tourism sector, recognising the businesses and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence.
The team was beyond thrilled to be named as the winner of the Taste of Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland category, sponsored by Discover Rutland. Sighted as being an incredibly close call for the judges, we were thrilled to be presented with this award with the host stating that it was the team’s drive in delivering exceptional dining experiences, showcasing the best local produce, and setting the standard for culinary excellence in the region that won us the title!
We can tell you now that a lot of blood, sweat, tears and late nights went into this award application, and thankfully the hard work paid off.
For us, this win is a testament to the team’s dedication to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, not only reinforcing our reputation but also positioning the restaurant as a strong contender on the national stage.

One of the most exciting aspects of the awards is that we will now have ****the opportunity to represent the region on the national stage. As one of 12 core category winners, we will automatically be entered into the VisitEngland 2025 Awards for Excellence, which will see San Pietro competing against the best in the UK’s hospitality and tourism sector. This is a significant milestone for us, and one we couldn’t be prouder to have achieved.
With a strong history of local businesses achieving success at the national level, our hopes are high that we’ll see San Pietro, and the other Lincolnshire businesses that have made it through to the next round, listed on the national shortlist.
